You press on late into the day, traveling uphill for some time through colder air and mist that obscure your view and drain the wood's colors in the fading daylight. You are rewarded for your efforts - a beautiful, serene waterfall is filling a small pond here, its water so clean and clear you can easily see the bottom. You drink your fill and set up camp, falling asleep to the peaceful gurgle of the water.

You wake up, and feel this night has been the most restorative you have had in years. Old wounds easing, you pack up, your eyes rest on the river flowing down into a nearby valley. You feel strangely drawn to the shaded valley and resolve to explore it.
